If you’re new to San Antonio, or even if you are one of the 1.5 million people already living here, you may not be aware of the different kinds of companies hiring tech talent. For example, you may not know that San Antonio is among the world’s top 10 hubs for cybersecurity talent.
A big driver behind San Antonio’s many cybersecurity experts is Port San Antonio, the Alamo City’s largest commercial property at 1,900-acres. The former Kelly Air Force Base has been redeveloped into an innovation hub, complete with a world-class innovation center opening in early 2022.
Just southwest of downtown San Antonio, Port San Antonio’s campus is home to over 80 tenant companies leading in global tech-driven industries such as cybersecurity, aerospace, defense, and global logistics.
At press time, employers at the Port listed over 200 available jobs for people with advanced tech skills (data quoted from LinkedIn or company websites as of July 20). There are more job opportunities than represented by the shortlist below. For more information on tech job opportunities across San Antonio, check out Tech Talent Central, a hub for everything related to your tech job search in the Alamo city.
